The team hosted an expert seminar on the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences project regarding the prevention of non-suicidal self-injury in schools in Wuhan, Hebei Province.​

The Northeast Asia Academy hosted the "Jilin University Academic Lecture on Philosophy and Social Sciences" on September 18, 2023, focusing on the establishment of a school-based mental health service system for adolescents.

Dr. Diyang Qu presented a report on the current status of non-suicidal self-injury in China at the 21st National Psychiatric Congress of the Chinese Medical Association and the 17th National Conference on Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Diyang Qu, Quan Zhang, and Xue Wen presented their research on the public health phenomenon and mechanisms of self-harm and suicide among children and adolescents at the 15th National Conference on Child and Adolescent Health organized by the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, Subsociety of Children and Adolescents Health.

Dr. Meng Han and Dr. Diyang Qu presented their respective research on help seeking and digital mental health at the 2023 Conference of Clinical and Counseling Psychology and the 6th China International Conference on Positive Psychology.

Leichang and Liubowen presented their online research article on self-harm and suicide behaviors. Through their rigorous research methodology and analysis, they provided valuable insights and recommendations for prevention and intervention strategies aimed at addressing these critical public health concerns.

The team was invited to participate the 15th National Conference on Child and Adolescent Health organized by the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, Subsociety of Children and Adolescents Health.

Dr. Diyang Qu has been awarded the funding from the 73rd batch of the Postdoctoral Fund. He is also the only postdoctoral researcher selected in the field of psychology at Tsinghua University in recent years.

Dr. Diyang Qu and Kunxu Liu achieved an excellent result of seventh place in the track competition at the 2nd Postdoctoral Entrepreneurship Competition held by Tsinghua University with their digital mental health project.

Dance Movement Therapy expert Li Gu visited the YMH Lab. She conducted a presentation on Dance Movement Therapy and led the Lab members in experiencing the process of Dance Movement Therapy.

YMH Lab developed Tsinghua University's digital mental health public welfare service platform—the 'Zijing Xinqing' mini-program—which was officially launched in November 2022. This platform integrates three core functions: mental health education, psychological assessment, and evidence-based mental training. Additionally, it features a dedicated pandemic support section tailored to groups impacted by COVID-19 (e.g., quarantined individuals, frontline healthcare workers), offering professional mental health services free of charge

YMH Lab hosted a breakout session titled “Building Inclusive Mental-Health and Psychiatric-Care Systems for All” during Tsinghua University’s 2nd World Health Forum. Distinguished speakers included Yao Hongwen, Director of China’s National Center for Mental Health; Lu Lin, President of Peking University Sixth Hospital; Joan Marsh, Editor-in-Chief of The Lancet Psychiatry; Yeung Shan, Dean of the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care at the Chinese University of Hong Kong; and Shekhar Saxena, Professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. The forum explored strategies for building more accessible and equitable mental-health and psychiatric-care systems worldwide, with the shared goal of advancing health equity.
